Book Review
Review by Monics de Graaf
Countless books have been written on the same subject. Many sensible and successful, some far too overburdened with too many do's and don't's, sometimes full of knowledge and theory and completely lacking in common sense. This book is full of common sense. First read your way through this book, and then work your way through it, you will find all aspects of both preparation for marriage and marriage itself have been carefully thought through by the authors. From the start of the journey right through to the later years, the pitfalls, anxieties and yes, even at times the doubts are written about honestly, sharply and to the point. The highlights of happiness and contentment are there in abundance. There is a lot of work to be done by couples when reading this book, either in preparation for marriage or within the marriage, new or long-standing, but do not let this put you off. Not only are we given a practical guide for this journey, we are given a wealth of valuable information, honestly written, always encouraging and never lacking in faith and perseverance, an important trait to be pursued many times by us all as the shape of marriage develops. Every chapter is followed by helpful discussion points. Use this book in the way that it is intended -turn to page 8, How To Use This Book, follow the authors' guidelines and you will be taken step by step on a journey which will gently, yet firmly, lead you to your marriage goal.
